Default New member, new car!!!

Ok well, I recently purchased a SRT6 from a friend of my dads at a really good price. To be honest, I am very happy with this car, everything I could want from a car and only 50k!! Had to replace the RCM, yes I tried the solders but looked like one of the relays had burnt up, weird. Anyways, replaced the fuel filter, pump, and air filter on account of the car had been sitting for several months. Now she is running better than when I first bought her!!

Well I don't really have any purpose for this thread other than to thank y'all for compiling such an extensive volume of info on these rare beasts! I hope to add some more power to this thing in the coming months, because right now, I am broke. Haha

Thanks again,
The Drunk

Thanks for the warm welcome! Also, when I said 50k I meant miles.... Not dollars. Just clarifying heh. Will be sure to post pics, think I may make matching the windshield surround to the rest of the car as my next project. So much to do so little time.

thanks for the encouraging words everybody, most days I am a good driver. Wont have to worry about curb rashes for the most part, have ruined enough rims in years past to learn my lesson.

Also, rear tires are in good condition, for how long I can not say heh.

P.S. Any groups in South Texas?

There are some guys in S.A., Kerrville, Austin for sure. That is more Central Tx. There are probably some in other parts as well. Where are you located? You can change you signin to include your location as well.
You can be an organizer in your area, just jump in!!!

Not a bad idea! I am residing in Corpus Christi, south of SA. I know theres a bunch of crossfires, and I saw another SRT6 driving, gave him the thumbs up. Wonder if he is a member?

Welcome to the land of the PermGrin, Drunken13astard! You have landed yourself in one mighty fine
automobile. I hope you get as much enjoyment out of your SRT6 as I have over the last 7 1/2 years
I've been driving mine.

If it is not already, you will also find lots of dicussions on how you can modify your car and slip some
extra ponies under the hood. There are several different ways to go, and a lot of flexibility. If only
there were tons of upgrades as there are for other automobiles.

Anyway, enjoy your time here, you will find an awful lot of friendly, helpful folks.

There is a Texas Member List, go to Crossfire Forum.com , go down to "SouthForum", as you go down you will see a "STICKY" that says Texas Member list". You can pick out by town who is in your area.

That is the one thing Ive noticed, not alot of third party support for our babies, but it seems like there is still a selection out there just limited. The thing I love about these cars is how truly rare they are, I only see maybe one every one-two weeks. So it really gets attention. Were as if you were driving a camaro or mustang, as nice as they are, they are so common they dont get nearly as much attention.

P.S. Thanks Dtinker

Yes, not a lot of vendors making parts for our cars, but it seems that those who do are very
good. I've not been disappointed with any modification part I've bought/installed.

Now that you've said you're in Texas, I've added you to the Texas list: https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...mber-list.html

You can mod it until traction becomes a real problem.
That's fast enough for most people.
