Cutouts

So just curious if anyone has bought a cutout y pipe and then and electric cutout kit from anywhere and then installed that instead of getting the needswings downpipes? I know that it won't have the same quality as robs but seems like it could be a cheaper alternative for close to the same result. Anyone with experience or thoughts let me know what you think.

Re: Cutouts

I have the catless cutout downpipes from needswings and they are fantastic! Open header sound is bit much in my opinion, but its fun to open them up every once in a while! Closed they sound perfect, it sounds pretty stock until about 3500 rpm and then it just gets aggressive sounding! IMO the downpipes with EC tune felt like it gave 50hp... no dyno proof lol but... i say its worth it! Only downfall is that they cause the car to get pretty smelly..

Interesting. I hope mine don't smell. I am having my rear cats removed and then a ypipe put in to make a single 3 inch the rest of the way back with a cutout about halfway to the muffler. And then getting a remote tune from euro. Can't wait to hear the sound and see if there is an acceleration difference. Should know by late next week

Some one should install lakes pipes with electric cutouts.
