Default Injectors


I am thinking about going to a larger injector, just to reduce my duty cycle and for piece of mind. I contacted a company in S.C. called Bostech and was absolutely astounded to find that not only do they not publish flow rates but they don't KNOW the flow rates. That's absurd, how can they do business? So, I'm still searching and found a set of Bosch with 550 cc rate on E-bay for $300 but that's for 8 which is pretty good. Anyone else found a good deal?

I ordered DW550 injectors from Rob.. he has flowrates and everything on his website

While I don't have any direct experience with installing the larger 550 injectors, when I was considering that "upgrade" my research told me that no one had any good experience with installing them and getting the engine to run properly. All were running "pig rich". Everyone I found who had tried it gave up a went back to the OEM SRT6 injectors. Do some research here on the forum before you buy them . . . Just sayin' . . .

Unless you're constantly at WOT, I would say an SL55 fuel pump with stock injectors will do the trick. Just where my research has led me. Different story if you're running a 62, 181 or bigger crank, or stacked pulleys at sea level.

Right now I am running stacked with 181 at the crank and 70 on the SC. I have the SL55 pump and adj. regulator and haven't really had problems but I feel that my duty cycle must be 80% or higher, I'd like it to be under 75%. I agree that I haven't seen a lot of success in this area but in looking at the Bostech, I'm only investing under $200. I love Robs' stuff but the $s here are too much for what I'm seeking. I'll keep this updated when I find a little more info.

Hate to bust your bubble.. but your at the point where the extra 200$ on robs injectors may be a wise investment for you and the life of your motor..

You aren't telling me anything new here, I've been on the leading edge of the stacked set-ups and have been working on motors over twice as long as you've been alive. I appreciate your concern but I seldom run WOT anymore, I AM an old fart ya know. I do have a wideband and all has been well but I know it's better to have a lower duty cycle than I do, although I have no means of measuring that right now, purely speculation on my part. Hope there are still Crossfires to play with when you are my age.
