Out of the loop for a while... pulleys?
Hey everyone!
So I'm contemplating throwing my hat back into the Crossfire ownership ring. Since my last Crossfire was a SRT, it's almost a given that my next one would have to be as well (now that I've tasted that speed).
Which brings me to my main question -- which pulleys are still available these days? I popped over to Eurocharged and saw that they have both 62/65mm pulleys (interestingly enough, the 62 is now steel... mine was aluminum back in the day).
Are 181 and 185 crank pulleys still a thing? I seem to remember one of them didn't have the pin which held it in place... it could turn into a grenade at high RPM (and did in several MB vehicles).
My biggest issue with my last SRT was belt slip (even with the LM21 wrap kit). But, I was using an aluminum 62mm pulley, and steel grabs better than aluminum. I lost a lot of top-end power due to belt slip.
I plan on staying with the stock injectors, and just upgrading to the SL55 Pierburg pump. So, realistically a 65mm S/C pulley or ASP 178 would be the most-likely candidates.
Thanks,

I currently run a 62mm Pulley from EC.
There is a cheap diy belt wrap that I did with my 62 mm pulley. It works fairly well, but I have no boost gauge. For all I know, the belt could be slipping just a bit top end. Cost under $50.
You can buy the 181/185 used, if you can't buy them new. I'm pretty sure Needswings has them though, may want to check.

Did you ever get your Turbo Limited running? Always wondered how that played out.
As for doing both... too much boost. My next XF is going to be a roadster (unless I find a STEAL of a SRT coupe). So, I won't be as concerned with outright *****-to-the-wall power. I want something that is minimally complicated, but potent. I'll definitely hit you up when the time comes though

Price is a bit steep, especially considering I have about $9K in mods planned. But a VERY nice specimen nonetheless. 37.5K mileage is a peach.

Is that a forum member? Not sure if you noticed, but it has nearly all of the Startech interior bits (and the Startech chrome door handle bezels, window trim, etc).
