Default Help me price my '05 srt6 roadster?

I have an 05 silver saphire blue srt6 roadster with 20k miles on it and I'm trying to feel the market out for what I should be asking for it should I decide to sell it. KBB seems to under price them quite a bit compared to what I'm seeing them listed for.
If anyone has recently made a similar purchase/sale or has some insight on a range for a fair price please let me know. Initially I'm thinking somewhere in between 16 and 19k but I'm not very confident where my bottom line should be or if I'm crazy for thinking I could get that much in the first place. It's in near perfect condition, been kept in a garage in sunny arizona, all stock no upgrades. Thanks for your help!

First let me say that I do not drive a SRT but I did recently buy my N/A car just late last summer. Prices can be all over the place and it is my guess that an average condition SRT would be in the $12-16K price range. Now, if car has very low miles like yours...that is a desirable car. Who wouldn't want a car with lower miles on it? So that's a plus in your favor. Time of year your selling can help get your price as well. Don't try to sell a convertible in the winter....you will get more money when the sun is warm and buyers can test drive it with the top down. How does the car run, function, body condition, any upgrades or all stock...etc. All this can play into it. I don't think your too far off on price. Honestly, I don't think you can get $19K but I don't know anything about your car. There are always people looking for nice well maintained cars and are willing to pay for them. You just have to find the right person.

I'm with Tom. Personally, given that it is low miles and stock, if its as clean as it sounds and you have a good, written maintenance record, I'd go $15,000 or so for such a car in Aero Blue.
+$1000 for Graphite
-$1000 for Silver Saphire Blue or Black

Lars sold his SSB SRT Roadster with 66,000 on it last year. He started around $17,000 and last advertised it at $13,000 or so. It sold soon thereafter, not sure how close to $13,000 he got.
But you have a lot less miles.

I personally would start at $19,000. You have low miles big plus and all stock (matters to some people). You are coming up on convertible season for us northerners. Remember a roadster for half the country is a toy not a daily driver. In a month or two would be a good selling time. Make sure to list were it can be seen nationwide. People will travel for a car they want. As far as color goes everybody has their favorite. When I was looking I would have taken any of the 4 colors available. I was looking for low miles.

They also need to have cash on hand as financing a car that old for that much is impossible unless you pay excessive rates and have impeccable credit.

I think you are in the ball park, color is not too important to most as they can forgive the color if everything else is to their liking.
It all depends on the buyer, if they want it then they will pay a little more, tire kickers want a low price and for them no price is too low. They may just flip it for a quick buck, do not waste your time on them. I had someone interested in my Limited all keen at the asking price and then suddenly gave me a low ball figure, I showed them the door before they took another breath, they were low ballers who were not so slick as they thought.

He's right.

I flew across the country and drove 2200 miles for three days to get home with my Graphite.
I then flew an hour and drove home 5 hours for my SE.

If someone wants the "right" SRT, well, they better be willing to travel, they are way more rare than the two cars I am talking about.

I bought a black SRT Coupe last summer with 20,000 miles on it for $15,000, and I thought that I made an exceptional deal. The car is still like new. Add to that the convertible SRT models always seem to get $3K over the Coupes in the same condition, so you're definitely not out of line starting at $19K. Prices are not dropping on the SRT's, they are very rare cars. They will only start increasing in value from here on out.

If you're not in much of a hurry I would ask $25,000 to start.

These cars are really starting to appreciate in value, especially a convertible with low miles.

Spring is also the best time to sell, but you'll need to be patient in order for the right person to come along. (Advertise it nationally)

In 5 years, I'll wager a 25,000 or less mile, pristine condition SRT roadster will sell at Mecum or Barrett-Jackson north of $40,000

Shame to sell it now

I spot some bias toward higher prices by owners of SRT roadsters, tell me I’m wrong.

Okay, you're wrong. There were a total of 1,321 SRT Roadsters built, definitely a rare car by any standard. Not to mention that they were $50K new.

All of the SRT Crossfires have bottomed out in price and will only continue to rise.

I'm not planning on selling my SRT6 but it's rarity was why I bought it 11 years ago. I could have added a second one about 5 years ago for $12k but ran out of storage. OTOH, if I can find a graphite roadster SRT6 for a decent price I'll make room.

I just purchased a 05 SRT6 Roadster with 34k miles a week ago. Price started at $19,995. and I bought it for 17,000. It's a 9.5 out of 10 condition.
Came with a bunch of extra parts and up grades. I'm happy with the price I paid. Hope this gives you some insight on what to sell yours for.

So in early February, a lady hit me from behind doing about 40mpg (texting and driving in the rain), My beautiful black STR6 Convertible was totaled along with her Honda Accord. She was underinsured with only $10K collision coverage which is the minimum in FL. Both insurance company's knew this. My car had 133K miles and was first valued by State Farm (her company) at $12K, but they were only able to pay out $10K less rental car and storage fee so cash offer to me was $7800. They said my insurance company would be able to pay me more.... but obviously there are some games going on here. My (ex)company valued my car at .... drum roll, $7800 since they knew about the other charges that they had to cover and treated me like crap. So in the end, her company agreed to pay me $9400 and I got to keep the car. I now have the car back with a FL Salvage, Rebuildable title. Car is not rebuildable since it has a badly bent frame that would cost ~$12K or more to fix. The non-replaceable fixed rear wing and truck lid however was totally untouched by the accident. I am still trying to determine next steps. I will start another thread to see if anyone is interested in buying the whole car before looking at parting it out. What a tragic loss of this like new future classic. They say cars with salvage titles are worth 1/2 what they would be worth otherwise. I would start your price at $20K which is only $5K lower than what I paid for my car in 2008

If you are a military Vet or active duty, contact USAA, they will finance older cars at a very low interest rate.

The $15k-$17k price range is probably where the car will sell. You can ask for a higher selling price, but unless the buyer is an enthusiast with interest in owning a low mileage SRT-6 Crossfire, car selling price will probably end up in the range I stated. While these cars were a limited production run, the insurance industry doesn't value these cars in high regard, and considers them a potential "full loss" in the event of any type of damage. And that isn't just the SRT-6 models. Now a real car enthusiast won't be bothered what the car can be insured for, but finding that enthusiast is rare. Lots of other factors to consider & the list is too long to get into. It comes down to what you want for your car, knowing condition & history, and you desire or need to sell. Frankly, I would only be interested in a low mileage, well maintained Crossfire in as delivered "factory stock" condition. Why I admire those that 'mod-up" their Crossfires, it is not my thing.

Good luck with you sell.
