Anybody know what years the SRT6 was made?

 

I was looking into that today, and it appears that it was only '05, with a few sold in '06.

You can google it for more / better info. There are a couple of links to this forum that have good breakdowns by year / make / color.

 

05-06 with the bulk being built in 05. If you find an 06 in the USA its a unicorn, they are super rare.

 

rumor had it that there were less than 100 left over 2005 models that dealers couldn't/didn't sell. they were re-badged a bit and sold off as 2006 models. as mentioned if you should ever find a verifiable 2006 srt6 buy it because you probably won't see another one.

 

The VIN numbers state 06 as the model year and the SRT logo is different as well. I see 396 made that year.

 

I think I heard from another resource that 2006 SRT-6s were produced only as special order vehicles. While Chrysler did a lot of re-badging in various model years, it wouldn't surprise me if 2005 SRT-6s sitting in inventory were rebadged as 2006 models. Only required a request submitted to & granted by the Feds, along with the associated fee(s), if applicable.

Click on the link below, it provides the info you're looking for as far as to the total numbered manufactured for 2005 & 2006. Very few 2006 were delivered to the USA.

Doubtful. Think of the VIN numbers all around the car that would have to be changed.

Let me clarify, concerning rebadging of the 2005 model into the 2006. The 2006 SRT6 badging was changed to comply with the other vehicle SRT labeling, to the slanted style.

The "new" emblems appear on the monogramed seats and the Tachometer on the inside, as well as the 2 front fender emblems, above the strakes with no emblem on the trunk/hatch (those cars sold outside of the USA). Those few 2006 shipped to the USA (very few) had the interior emblems like the others sold, slanted, but did not have the fender emblems, but had the 2005 emblem on the rear trunk/hatch.

All of the 2006 VIN#'s began with the 641XX series of numbers. The last 2005 VIN#'s began with the series 610XX, based upon the VIN database I've maintained over the last several years.

I agree, too much trouble to do. Plus the numbers would have fit in with what has been made and what is currently being made in other 05 and 06 models as well.
