Very loud exhaust leak ??
Very loud exhaust leak ??
I have a exhaust leak under my set-6 that comes and goes I know never heard of a exhaust leak sometimes but that's what is happening sometimes I get in and start up fine no loud noise other times I start the car and I can't talk to anyone in the car it's that loud .. also sometimes when driving it will get real loud and after a little while it goes back to normal ....it's for sure back near or past the the cat area I can hear that .... anyone ever heard of this happening ????

if they find a cat ripped open they have to replace it LOTS OF MONEY over $700.00,, if you know someone have them check it then buy one or two to fix it.
I was wondering if you have dumps on your car and they blow open then the elect switch will close them. either one will give you LOUD exhaust. jim

the cut outs /dumps could open when power is off if they are power closed... look for a switch ,also try every switch in the car, with engine running and see if the exhaust gets loud. ,, now you could look under the car for a valve,,valves on your exhaust pipes close to the engine. jim
