Does any one know what the fuel pump part costs and what it may cost to install?

I don't know about the hours of labor for installation.

 

And would perhaps be a good idea to change the filter/regulator out at the same time while you're in there, depending on it's last replacement date/miles. A good mechanic could do it in an hour or less.

 

yes, for sure do both while you are there, the filter/regulator is very inexpensive and should be changed out EVERY 40,000 miles

 

I am having the pump & filter replaced for under $500.00. The Chrysler Dealer wanted $1,200.00 plus tax

 

Glad you got it handled. So your mechanic is charging you around $250. for labor? I should have been an auto mechanic.

 

I think your mechanics a little out of line with his labor cost. Should'nt take more than an hour even with a nap thrown in.

 

The mechanic is a solid dude. Has the right scope to monitor the fuel and other aspects of the vehicle which he did gratis to figure out what the issue is. The shop itself is amazing and they are set up for mechanical and electrical work plus stereo systems. They are working on some awesome vehicles right now not standard issue. The mechanic can also do performance upgrades and will only use manufacturer recommended products from BMW or Mercedes. Just in case i get frisky and want more power.

 

 

Do the needwings setup with separate regulator filter and pump if you plan to mod the car you have that part taken car of.
