2005 xfire srt key

I can purchase a key from a dealer in Massachusetts for $378.00 he gets it from Mercedes, will it come programmed to start the car. I have seen where you go through steps to make it lock and unlock the doors. But I need to know if it should start the car when I get it. Thanks

This is a Chrysler dealer in Massachusetts, you send vin, mileage, drivers license, then he said it went through Mercedes and they cut the key and sent it back to him, then on to me.

His pricing may be outdated.

That was his price yesterday. Retail $591.00. His price $378.00. Is this price high or low. Also will this key start the car when I get it shipped to me. Thanks

If he is selling a key for your car then presumably it will start it.

You should be able to ask the seller if the key is ready to go. Also, you might want to ask when you can expect to receive it. All others are listed with no guarantee of delivery.
If you do get the key and it works, please post that event as I would like to be their next customer..

;) The dealer might have everything necessary to deliver a new key. If they are an actual Chrysler Dealership, buy it with a CC and when it gets there and does work, you made a killing on that purchase. If it doesn't, you make a claim on your CC. It is a gamble you cannot lose especially if you get a new key that works. Sounds simple, not complicated. ;)

If it "does" work I know a bunch of us will want to know this dealer.

;) Absolutely, besides all the hoopla lately regarding keys isn't it better to confirm one way or the other? IF I was in this situation, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase one and find out (UNLESS a purchase is contingent on a price 'adjustment'). So, it isn't up to any one else but the one who has this 'Dealer', right? Jumping in negatively in post 2 is very premature. Let HIM get his key or not. Then he can share the information based on that. If you think that callous, what would YOU do? I suspect you would get a key depending on the contractual condition, then post if it works or not ;)
