Default Got the car detailed today.

Link to Indianasrt.com where he posted photos.

He came by around 10am and left after 5pm. He asked for 80 bucks and I tried to give him 140 but he wouldn't have any of it. He ended up taking 100 and I still felt bad. I can't believe someone would travel to your house with all their own chemicals and spend all day cleaning your car for 80 bucks.

Boiler came by and I got to see his crossfire. Max and I talked about how nice it was for a while, btw. Hope you hire him for yours soon, and dont let him leave without tipping him.

anywho...here is the link

Brian,

I just checked the photos and showed them to a few guys at work, that thing turned out amazing... I am sure I will have him do the XF for me, just need to find time. After that, he will have a black acura and a black RX-8 waiting for him LOL.

Nice. Make sure to tip him if you like the work, I couldn't get him to take more than 20 bucks tip though. I swear he must have a crack addiction to only charge 80 bucks. I think I have a couple guys at work that are going to hire him too so hopefully we can keep him busy and he can use up his cleaning agents before he ships off to the marines.

Man, I've seen guys get the "good guy discount" before, but this takes the cake! Black is always the most difficult color to work on, and the Crossfire tends to have really hard paint. To only charge someone $80 for that level of correction is nuts.

You tell this guy that he's got waaay too much talent to only be charging $80 for this kind of work. I know guys with far less talent who get double that on a regular basis. Heck, here in SoCal he could easily charge $300 or more to correct to the level those images show.

He's just selling himself short, if you ask me.

Mike, while this is true, can we make sure not to tell him until after he corrects what Jimmy buff-its screwed up??

(yes, he took out all the swirls, but he left buffer trails all over the car, I took it back to have him re-work it and it came back almost the same, needless to say, I am not happy with them at all and needing it redone)

Max will be coming by the house this Sunday to 'correct' my black paint and all its buffer trails.

I will try to post some pics, thanks again Brian for hooking me up with him.

Great job great price, looks great. I'll be detailing my cars today and tomorrow car show Sunday, to bad I can't get it done for $80.00.

At that price, I would be a fool to buy all the chemicals and rotary buffer when I can have it done 2x a year

not to mention that while he is detailing I can be working on my new basement
