Default New stainless muffler w/ single tip *pics*

Checked around a few muffler shops and got some pricing for some exhaust setups. What I really wanted was a little more sound, and I definitely got it. It's a Larson Industries all stainless muffler/tip combo. They charged $120ish for the part and about $65 for the labor/fabrication.

Much louder than stock and I'll get som video/audio up relatively soon within the next few days. It really sings at 4500RPM, that's for sure.

I wish my black XF was that clean!!!
Nice pipes, different - not really my taste, but better than 99% of the others out there.
Congrats.

That's where it gets parked at night, too :/

It would never be that clean if we haven't had the most ridiculously perfect weather EVER for the past week in Houston.

Very very deep at low RPMS. Almost Ferrari-esque with a blip of the throttle to rev match. Sings at 4000-5000 and the noise really drops off above that. Kind of strange actually.

I looks different but very nice. I like to hear how it sounds though. One of my biggest concerns about changing my exhaust is that I don't want it too loud, just a little more loud than stock.

Interesting observation. If our cars had a single exhaust pipe, would we be looking to mod it with a double exhaust pipe .

It's much louder. If you do a different exhaust, then you'll probably want something that has a smaller diameter muffler or has multiple switchbacks like the stock muffler. This one just goes straight through.

Absolutely! This looks too Boxster for me.

"Chi-Town SRT/6" came to my house today.
He lives only a few miles away.
He and I took the beast out and tore up a few roads nearby.
I can confirm it's a beast. I drove it too.
Kick it and hold on cause you are in for a fun fast ride.
Exhaust sounds incredible.
Better than any muffler mod I have ever heard.
Forget about all those aftermarket mufflers and dual exhaust mods.
Just remove that resonator and the stock exhaust sounds excellent.
Deep throaty sound without the drone at any RPM.

On the N/A Crossfires we have a resonator on each pipe below the manifold and before the cat. converter.
Have them removed and you will be impressed. I plan to have this done soon to mine.

Hey, I think that looks pretty cool. I just had some exhaust work done last week. You certainly have a unique look with just one large outlet. I'd like to hear it some time. I also live in Kingwood. You don't work at Hobby Lobby by any chance, do you? Almost any time I drive by there on the feeder road, there is a black base coupe in the parking lot, but whoever is driving it makes no effort to keep it parked away from the customers' cars. So, it's probably not you. Plus, I think it's been there longer than you've had yours. Are you going to Fredericksburg by any chance this weekend?

That tip is not my cup of tea, but if you like it, that is all that matters.

Clean and simple, not bad for an N/A application.
