I love this, but is there a way to make it even more affordable by keeping the stock injectors, but installing and tuning the fuel with a higher pressure regulator?
this will shave about $300 off the sale price if you can pull the same power with just a new adjustable regulator. thus bringing in more sales, and you don't have to buy new injectors, thus your overhead will decrease, not a bad deal if you can pull it off.
please correct me if this kind of thinking is wrong.

i'll have to take a look under the hood but i am pretty sure we have a dead head system ... as in no return line so putting a fuel pressure regulator in would mean having to run a return line to the filler hose (easiest spot to return) with some new line and disabling the stock in tank regulator.
more expensive than injectors guaranteed.
but again, i will have to take another look under the hood ... did not check it if its a returnless or not last i looked.

Yup, no return line. The point in putting in bigger injectors is that the stock injectors are flowing about as much fuel as they can right now. They are running at 4 bar and over 80% duty cycle with an ECU tune and air box modifications. From 4200 RPM on you start to creep over the 15.0 AFR mark with the stock injectors. It's just not that safe.
I contacted Vath and they do have a regulator that will boost the fuel pressure on the slk320', it's kinda pricy, but I bet it's a MBZ part, would be nice if someone could order it for research and developement.
.
"We have such a fuel pressure regulator as well.

TVT,
- Is there much difference in air flow between your CAI, and your modified air box?
- Do you use a different ECU tune depending on air intake above?
- Will the car drive with either of the above air intakes AND the larger injectors with NO ECU tune? (I know you recommend it, but timing everything perfectly may be an issue for some people, and it may be their only mode of transport)
- Not everyone wants your intake as they may have their own etc.Do/will you sell the injector kit just by themselves?

2. No, the ECU tune is more dependant on the injectors. The car will compensate for increased flow.
3. The car will drive with the larger injectors, and no ECU tune. It will run rich (safely) and you may notice a decrease in power without the tune.
4. This package does not include our intake and is only combined with the airbox. You an purchase the injectors and ECU seperately. Injectors: 450.00, ECU tune 350.00, Both: 750.00
And I thought my sig was big..., and to keep this on topic, would you be able to break the prices down to individual.for people that do their own work, have their own intake and exhaust, ect, ect.

Our target price was 1K, but after we tallied everything up and came up with the concrete list of parts we settled on 1200.00.
I will list the injectors seperately on the website for purchase, as well as the modifed air box.

add VRP headers for another $999, he's claiming to add 15-20 hp, not sure how much this will bump the power output with TVT's tune, seems like progress to me. Yippy!
