Many of us view this car as a very fine piece of automobilia, hell, it is a mercedes after all. This is why many here are willing to spend countless hours and hard earned funds on our mods and really personalize them, with high quality parts. Good luck with your intake, in all sincerity, but if you do not want to be flamed, I would recommend against posting 'the cheapest possible want to do _______' and asking opinions.....
Any of you guys know anyone who makes a black hose clamp? I haven't been able to find them except for some really expensive ones that don't look like hose clamps.

Just finished mine this weekend, thanks JHM2K for the inspiration! Went a little darker with mine—blacked out heat shield and black anodized clamps (same ones Boiler just mentioned).

I am finished with the eng bay for this year. Next year I will figure out what and how to paint up the MB airbox and cover. There are a lot of cool ideas on this thread to look into.

Anytime you want Itsky! A little water, some simple green and a quick squirt of CD2 will do wonders.
Nice lettering on your tubes James. I think I ordered my tubes one day after you, and mine came blank? They look sharp!
Have you guys had to trim your TVT tubes? I had to cut about 2" off each side to squeeze in the devil horns. I also noticed a bit more engine vibration, inside the car. I have not reset the throttle body yet, hope that will clear things up. I know the rubber tubing is really, really tight next to the radiator that might cause additional vibration?

These look like decals made using the Crossfire font and stuck on. I made this in answer to another thread.

I know I'll get jumped but this lettering is NOT a font.
Actually it is a logo.
Otherwise every man's printing would be concidered a font. Print Shop and Clip Art has done so much to downgrade sign painters, artists and artisans' talents.
That's all, I go back to what I was doing...

The lettering is a decal. I put them on to see about the look, very easy to remove if I decide. I am leaving them on for now.
I cut one inch off the drivers side tube, and about an 1.5" at an angle on the passenger side. No noticable noises or vibrations.

[/quote]From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In typography, a font (also fount) is traditionally defined as a quantity of sorts composing a complete character set of a single size and style of a particular typeface. For example, the set of all characters for 9-point Bulmer italic is a font, and the 10-point size would be a separate font, as would the 9-point upright.
After the introduction of computer fonts based on fully scalable outlines, a broader definition evolved. Font is no longer size-specific, but still refers to a single style. Bulmer regular, Bulmer italic, Bulmer bold and Bulmer bold italic are four fonts, but one typeface.
However, the term font is also often used as a metonym for typeface.

Guys (and gals!).
Someone asked me in the last 2-3 months to make them a set of engine compartment "bling" parts. Battery cover, ECU and fusebox covers etc. and I can't remember who it was. The "Inbox" and "Sent Items" folders got cleaned out and in my dotage, I can't recall.
Please PM me if it was you? Thanks, senile old fool.
