I got the engine cover and intake in. I just wish I was the one that made the cuts to the cover because I did not like how it was done. I will redo the project asap. This is the pre-view of it so far.

How do you protect the filter against water/rain? The location of the filter is right behind the grill, it gets pretty wet if raining, or not?

It could damage the engine.

 

Right, I saw I thread on this question somewhere. We better find it before the next rainy day. I was planning on using the family car on those days, but you know sometimes is hard to tell.

 

I guarantee it's not going to get any wetter in the rain than it did when I blasted mine with a pressure washer!

Basically the only way to get water into the intake is to drive it into a lake.

But let's say it's raining and you're drving 150 mph on a german autobahn.

Latest after 1 hour you would have a pretty wet filter. But I don't know if its enough water that it gets into the engine - like you said. But I think water is water, and we should try to keep the filter as dry as possible.

Or not? :-)
