mounts with a bracket/bolt setup and also with a super slick slip-in alignment tab

included with the kit will be
catch can itself
hoses
2 double male aluminum line conversions
vac cap
nut/bolt/washer setup for bracket
drain
TIG welded 6061 billet aluminum
all aluminum hose connections are double flared for a sure seal.

pricing will be...
without powdercoating $108+s/h
with main can powdercoated $128+s/h

we have a batch of 30 in production now, almost half of them are completed, the other half are in their final stages so they should be ready to be dropped off to powdercoating late this week in one batch. if you wanted to paint/coat yours yourself please let me know ASAP before they all get dropped off.

externally teflon coating them to match our Intake manifolds is available also but will be $14 more then the powdercoating.

hey rob, in your best opinion, do you foresee any gains for the N/A?

there is no instant hp/tq gain with these on either car, it is a "keep your car healthy mod". designed to keep the intake track clean from the oil gunk. we havent pulled a n/a intake manifold off so i dont know how they look as far as oil accumulation inside

No horsepower/torque gains, but I think this will prevent a loss in tq/hp. When the IAT and MAP sensor gets coated in oil they can start messing with the the ECU. Because of the oil coating the sensors, the caibrations/readings from the sensors can be read improperly by the ECU and this can cause the ECU to pull timing from the engine or screw with the AFR, resulting in loss of hp/tq. I hope I explained this correctly.

The N/A manifolds are gross when it comes to oil build up. We install catch cans in all our AMG N/A motors. You can check out our project C43 thread if you want to see the insde of the N/A manifold.

http://www.mbworld.org/forums/c36-am...oject-c43.html

It's an absolute must have mod on these motors.

I have a catch can on my srt8 too and have filled 1/3 of a empty Dasani water bottle from about 20K miles... definately will put one of these on the 6 too. Helps reduce knock retard also...

Rob, if ordered now, will they be delivered by mid-March? Call me lazy, but I don't want to take my manifolds off twice.

Thanks,
Tom

"Make one to match the manifolds and CAI with the teflon"
i snuck 2 cans in with todays silver manifold tefloning, one for you and one for jim.

"Rob, if ordered now, will they be delivered by mid-March?"
yes, these are comming along quickly as a bunch of them are already finished, for the black powdercoating i'll be bringing them in as one big batch either later this week or early next week. so my guess is shipping black ones around the end of the month.

of course, yours was the reason to sneak them in this morning so it will be a 100000% match to the mani's since they are being coated togather

Oil has a super low octane raiting. removing oil ingestion into the engine will prevent a drop in your octane raiting which will remove knock that has been presented by the decreased octane. removing knock will stop the ecu from pulling timing based on present knock count.
