there is no reason it should. all emmsions are left in place and the engine is healthier with the catch can kit installed. i just cant gaurantee the service writer isnt having a bad day and is lookign for someone to take it out on.

Why would we need such a part?
the 2 smaller (one on each bank) valve cover ports feeding into the bottom of the throttle body are pulling oil into the intake stream tru the venturi port on the bottom of the throttle body. This is coating everything after the throttle body with oil. for those of you srt6 guys that have looked at the inside of their intercooler, air distribution ypipe or intake manifolds will know what i'm refferring to. this oil coating is a innefficiency to the cooling and flow thru the intercooler and hinders flow thru the ypipe and manifolds. the spark plugs will eventually foul as well due to this oil. in short, its crud and we don't want it.

these cans have been in testing since last fall and all revisions have been made already

It will work on the na xfires also.

Just a testament to how good these oil catch cans really are
I just drained my Needswings oil catch can today after doing my own oil change.

6000 miles and I drained this much oil from the catch can...........

Once you have the catch can, do you run seafoam through the system to try and clean up the existing mess? As much as I would like to tear into the manis and associated parts, I just don't have the time with mine being the DD.

I use Seafoam in my 6 occasionally last time i looked into the throttle body it was very clean and shinny but i'm sure the catch can is 98 % of the reason it's that way.... Seafoam is good medicine for injectors also,, IMO
