The nice thing about banjo fittings is they lay flat to the surface the are mounted on. But they can be a bit hard to find.
Ant suggestions as to A-pillar mounts? Anything else? If I can find an A-pillar cover, I might be willing to carve it up and do my own. 2-holer. Oil pressure and Volts.

I used AutoMeter p/n: 2277 Electric Temperature or Pressure M12x1.5 male to 1/8" NPT female. About 12 dollars. You can order it at most Advance or NAPA stores.

Don't run it thru the belts!!! just and as much heavy *** brass, and run a whole sink. lol. Nice machinist work. And the second post. Im sure th original used sharp 4 flutes and turning inserts. Looks like you may have done it manually or on a belt driven machine. Good to see other peeps making parts. Will post picks or rear crossmember and control arms wwhen complete. Ya and the rear sway bar eliminators are plastic. May make some thinner aluminum ones as well. Mind sending me a hand sketched print? Doesnt have to be pretty. Ty

Good work, though. Why did you go with a direct-line gauge? Every danged one I've ever seen starts leaking at some point. Usually in the passenger compartment!
Oh. And show us the viewing end! What did you do for mounting the gauge end?

Re: Installing oil pressure gauge...
As I am old, I still like mechanical gauges. I bought a cheap mechanical gauge to determine if it was feasible. This is in my 202, so ymmv.
Done with .032 stock. I plan to build another panel with thicker stock, and cut the second hole for another gauge.
I would like two pods on the pillar. Someday.

Here is my silver 37mm digital oil pressure gauge.

Re: Installing oil pressure gauge...
My small oil pressure gauge is giving me problems between sending unit and display going out, so I am changing.
What do you guys / gals think?
Aluminum mount with gauge mounted on dash.
The plastic mount on door, of course there will be trimming and probably heat gun on the plastic, so it fits good on the door, and moved forward 2.5" to 3 "
But blocks the duct on fash blowing on window.

Re: Installing oil pressure gauge...
Hey speedy, don't you think all that would look better in the A piller. That big gauge won't fit. I remember somewhere on here, someone had a 3 gauge cluster set up, they were selling or had a link to the vender. "Just thinkin out loud".. lol. Post 4 has something similar , the one I'm talking about sits in ,a lot closer.

Re: Installing oil pressure gauge...
Not a fan of a pillar pods, I don't like making the pillars bigger and looking around them on corners and turning on a road.
Trying to mount lower to look over.
Looked through motorcycle gauges to try and find a 1 3/8 full sweep mechanical gauge to fit in my small silver housing, looks like a shift light.
I just did a temporary mount with copper line to see what I think with the aluminum bracket, hotel room key stuck to bracket and slide the hotel key in the seam of the dash, mounted solid.
If I use the mount on the door, I can not use the copper line also, would have to double wall plastic or stainless section through door jamb.
But would not loose any vision.

Re: Installing oil pressure gauge...
I once saw a guy who took out the center vents and put three gauges in. I can't see doing that in the south, I use my A/C almost year round - but it DID look good.
Our cars do NOT lend themselves well to additional instrumentation. That has bothered me over three Roadsters and eight years of ownership.

Ya, I was hoping that 37mm silver gauge would have worked better but didn't last
And it came in other colors
And also different gauges like boost.
I did see sometime last week and great 3 gauge pod that is made for being mounted on top of center dash, and some mods would look great, but!!!!
Would have to cut holes in dash to run lines / wires
I have seen that pic, think I was talking in the thread about it about 3 years ago.

Re: Installing oil pressure gauge...
Used the mount that got sent, even though it was the wrong one.
No screws, no adhesive.
Took a hotel room key, used as a heat gun to heat up the room key then curl the end kind of like a candy cane, and adhesive on the curl of the room key and the curl on the mount, and slide the part of the room key inbetween panels.
Put a green cap over the light, so gauge lights up green.
If I stay with this I need to find a aluminum cup to cover back.
I feel more comfortable with the mechanical gauge.
