Went to 2 shops today and received quotes of $180 and $200 just to have the resonator removed and replaced with a Y pipe. Of course the Y pipe would need to be custom made because nothing in the world of AMG is simple enough to be done on the spot.

Does this price sound reasonable compared to what other owners have paid? I honestly thought this would be a 1 hour job (maybe $100).

 

keep looking that is too much I had both rear cats removed,,(well i used his tools and removed them myself) then he made the two pipes and installed them for 100. jim

 

WOW my exhaust guy is removing my rear resonators adding a x pipe in place of the h pipe for 133.00

 

Does that $133 include the parts?.... I supplied the stainless parts for my resonator delete and the labor cost was about $45 - $50 I think......

 

I paid $94 to have my resonator removed, y pipe fabricated and installed, and replaced the stock muffler with an Ansa (I supplied the Ansa).
