Default Crossfire takes longer to start then normal

My crossfire is taking longer to start then normal. It use to start as soon as I turned the key but now have to hold the key in the start position for a couple of seconds before it starts. I have no idea what good be causing this so any suggestions would be helpful.

well, you shouldn't have to hold the key at all once turned...battery could be getting weak...electrical connections....just for kicks and giggles, next time you try to start the car...turn the key to start and let go...see what happens...

stop by a Auto Zone or similar place, and have them check the battery. The will put a "load" on the battery to see if it is up to specs. There are a lot of other things down the line that can cause this, but this is the easiest to test. They do this service for free. They will look at your battery connections as well. Best place to start....

Hard to start could relate to fuel, to electrical, many things, but you have to start somewhere...

If it's a 6 speed you have to hold the key till it starts. Mabey I missed him mentioning it was auto?

My crossfire took a long cranking time to start when purchased new, & my other one started right up. I had the Fuel pump replaced & now it starts right up just like the other one. Check your Fuel pump. =)

try parking it at a angle with the front of the car going downhill overnight and then see if it starts faster or not.. if it dus it might just be the check valve in the filter went out and all you need is a new filter. after my fuel upgrades the new filter dusnt have a checkvalve so if i park with my car faceing uphill it takes time to get the fuel back to the engine
