Default Rear diffursors - black or silver inside

Hi,

Hope all have a nice friday!
QUestion... The rear diffusors, are they supposed to be silver or black on the inside?
Different for the LTD, N/A and SRT?

Have a good one!

Are you referring to the "cutouts" on each side of the muffler?

These were body color on all models.

The actual diffusers (multiple fins) are aftermarket Mopar accessories and are painted by the owner whatever color they choose.

I'm thinking of purchasing and putting these on. I like the look but likely will want them to be the color of the car.

A couple questions for those of you who have put them on. Do they result in any noise? I wouldn't think they would but thought I'd check. Also, for those of you who had them painted, about how much did it cost.

Thanks for any input.

If you were responding to my questions, yes, the rear diffusers. Looking to see if they are stable and / or add any noise. Also, how much cost to paint them is.

Thanks.

I have them on both cars, no noise, and painting shouldn't be all that much....just two small pieces of plastic...less than a "C" note....

Thanks. Glad there's no noise. Pain cost is pretty much what I would expect. Cheapest I've been able to find the diffusers is $192. Seems like that's in line with what I;ve seen posted that others have paid. One said they found them for $180 but I haven't come accross them that cheap yet.

Thanks again.

On the SRT, it's paint.

And since the SRT runs so rich (fuel), I would leave them black or it will be a cleaning nightmare.

On our SRT the tips are silver. I'm not sure if the tips were replaced or what. You pretty much have to clean them after every drive.

The lip that surrounds the tail pipes are polished stainless steel on both na's and SRT's, the insides are shiny SS on the na's and painted black on the SRT's.

Some SRT owners removed the paint and polished the inside and some na owners wish the insides had been painted black.
