I have to replace my engine in my crossfire because it was flooded out. The repair is going on the insurance companies dollar so I was thinking about convincing them that a srt6 engine is the way to go. I have seen the V8 swaps but has anybody put in a srt6 engine? Also does it mater that I have a stick since the srt6 are automatic? Thanks for your input.

 

Ignoring the legal hurdles that the insurance company will make you jump, it's a nightmare.

But since you're dealing with insurance, the legality can't be ignored, and once they get $10,000 into the repair and realize it's not compatible with the rest of the chassis systems/software, they'll cook your goose.

I'd advise against it. Just trying to save you some headache. Insurance companies are hell enough as it is...

Thanks, I did a little more research and it sounds like a PITA to do and very costly. I guess that is why I have not heard of anybody doing it.

 

no problem at all Rudy has Converted limited to srt6 3 or 4 times he also is the one that installed my V8, if you want it done right ,,PM him or give him a call. jim
