installing Rob's catch can, where does this hose go?

anyone know where this hose is suppose to be routed to? My srt6 has it going up to the driver side upper intake breather hose that goes to the throttle body. It looks like it is getting oil vapor from here too. Do we just leave this connected?

Yes. But I wondered about that hose as well.

I've seen that some guys put on a baby crankcase line filter like these, K&N Crankcase Vent Filters
and then cap the inlet on the intake tube. Is this just an emissions only thing, or is it necessary for pressure equalization? My thoughts are that the way this large hose loops down low on its routing over to the intake tube on the NW's CAI, that any oil(if any at all) would have a place to collect, and checked/cleaned occasionally.

goes on the right cold air intake tube...

If you have a dual CAI....sorry, I didn't look to see what intake you had...

So Rob has designed this into the DCAI, must be important....

Car ran great today, thanks to this forum describing the install procedure of the new intake gaskets where the service manual falls short.

Oil catch can and IC seperate installed. Thanks Rob!

yes that goes into the intake tube on the pass side for our intake systems, goes to the drivers side on the stock system. it is unchanged with the catch can install, it is not the main culprit of oil ingestion and thus left alone.

Don't do something stupid like I did and cap off both ends of this hose.
You will have the strangest sounds coming from the engine compartment that you will swear is a water pump giving it up ......
Some of you at the last spring Dragon listened to it and agreed it was the water pump.

( I replaced the hose like it should be and the sounds miraculously disappeared )

This catch can is slick, easiest install ever, perfect mounting design, slide right in, plenty of hose.

I was so woried about what I would find in the manifolds but so happy to see no gunk from IC leak and minimal oil residue. I have 48K miles.
