What's going on!?! Engine issues
Ok so here it goes... For starters I have an 04 auto limited roadster with needswings cai, muffler delete.
So I was cruising and gunned it pretty hard then on approach to a red light the car started shaking and exhaust sounded like crap. Check engine light came on. (Limp mode possibly). So I pulled over and turned off the car. Popped the hood and there was a small amount of smoke coming from the passenger side of the engine from underneath the sparkplugs. Turned the car on and drove it easily to oreilly's (about a mile) to check the code. It ran fine one the way there, kept it under 4k. Code came up as (misfire cylinder 6). So I drove home but if I went over 4-4.5k it would go into what I think is limp mode. I let her sit overnight and decided to tackle it the next day. Threw some injector cleaner in there and ran it hard to see of it would mess up again. It ran perfect! But still a check engine light and smoke coming from the same place. I'm pretty sure cylinder six is on the rear drivers side so I'm confused as to why the smoke is coming from the opposite side. Anyone have any ideas? |
