SRT6 stock exhaust/Megan drone
My SRT has the rear cats and resonator removed with a Megan muffler and the drone at 60 mph is over 80dbs. I commute 40 miles each way to work and it is too much drone. If I get a stock rear cat back exhaust back on,will that lower the drone much? I don't mind a little noise above stock. I was looking on youtube for a cat only delete clip but looks like most do the cat and resonator delete. Also does anyone in the Dallas area happen to have a stock exhaust laying around they don't want anymore??

Old thread but just a FYI. I have the rear cats, "H" pipe and the muffler removed and left the resonator in place while adding a "X" pipe where the cats and H were. I get that smooth Ferrari sound and no drone but she really growls @ WOT!
The X pipe is installed in place of the rear cats and H pipe and flows dual pipes into the OEM resonator with single pipe afterwards to mufflerless exhaust tip. Resonator acts as a muffler but is less restrictive, but works very well with the sound enhancement in combo with the X pipe. No drone what-so-ever, till you goose it. Sorry, don't have an after pic but here's a before to give you the idea.
Cats and H out, X in and muffler out. Less back-pressure and a little leaner but eurotune takes care of all dat! No loss of torque.
I've also read where guys have removed only the cats and installed the X along with the H intact, but my thinking was you get better linear flow without the H.
