2004 Crossfire Timing Chain
Never heard of that. Timing belts need to be replaced between 70k-120k depending on the engine. Timing chains last a very long time. I don't recall any Crossfire owner on this forum mentioning they had a chain replaced.

I can see some confusion about timing belts. When I purchased my Crossfire in 2005. Along with the Owners Manual, I was also given a Vehicle Service Schedule. At 60,000 miles it recommends replacing the timing belt & water pump. As we know the Crossfire has a timing chain. The service schedule is generic and not Crossfire specific. Maybe that is where there may be some confusion that some members may have.
Actually our timing chain is a dual chain setup so should be good for a long time. Saying that, chains can wear, I am a bicycllist, I have seen chain wear. There is no such thing as chain stretch, just wear but as long as it's lubricated and not under high stress continually it shouldn't need replaced at 100k.
