If your curious what Robs new exhaust system sounds like, you can hear it on his web sight. It's a brief cold Michigan morning start up with lots of traffic noise in the back ground. NeedsWings.com and while your still on his home page, scroll down to the very bottom of his page. You will then see a YouTube icon on the bottom left. Click on You Tube. Squirrel Crusher

No resonators. Has high flow cats. I asked Rob to custom make up a partial crossover pipe for a free flow. A true crossover pipe (usually called a X-pipe) forces the exhaust from each side of the engine to be forced into a single 2 1/2" X- joint and then changes back to a dual exhaust. An X may be a good thing for a N/A engine for the needed back pressure but I didn't feel a supercharged engine needed the added flow resistance of a true X. The rear mufflers are Moroso Spiral Flow with trim rings Rob made up. Squirrel Crusher

Don't know. Rob still has my car. He's still perfecting his new SRT heavy breathing intake system and fuel system before he releases it to his web sight. That's all I know. Squirrel Crusher

Holy Moses! This sounds like it just may/could be the long awaited dual T.B. Woody/Waldig Invented set up? The envelope continues to expand. Merry Christmas Friends!

Has anyone got a set of these yet? A bit too expensive for me IMO but would still like to hear what people have to say about them.

I bought a new set of needswings exhaust headers for my SLK 32 AMG a few months ago.
Now I'd like to install it - not by myself but a exhaust shop. The boss of the shop thinks the engine has to be taken out - but he is not sure (in this case he might charge for 25 hours of labor).

Has anybody experience in removing the old headers and installing the new. The engine bay of the SLK 32 AMG should be equivalent to the SRT-6.
What are the processual steps?
How much time do you need for each step?

the engine does not need to come out, figure 2-3 hours per side. so 5-6 hours labor. if you need to change spark plugs, motor mounts or steering shock, that would be the time.

To Squirrelcrusher….What were your thoughts and results from installing the Needswing headers on your SRT6? What adjustments (air/fuel?) did you have to make for the mod? Did you also make any changes to your overall exhaust system with the install? Sorry for all the questions, but I was hoping to have some feedback on results/dyno testing before committing to doing this project. Thanks for anything you can share!
