Default Mystery part ?????

I was crawling under my car earlier getting measurements for a driveshaft, and am wondering what the large cast aluminum plate on top of the trans / ds tunnel.
It it above the tail of the transmission and runs back over top of the driveshaft.
It is not mounted solid, it moves with little easy, not like a loose bolt but like it is on rubber mounts.
Sent pics and talked to a other senior member and he said that plate was not on his car and he did not know.
Is it something that is for the nsg370?
Sorry bad pics, phone was giving me problems.
