Question Automatic trans.

The owner's manual says that the trans. fluid and filter should be change at 80,000 miles then no more afterwards. My
crossfire does not get driven than often , i will drive it ever 2 to 4 weeks on a trip because i do not think its good for a car just to sit plus I enjoy driving the car. My question is since its about 16 years old with about 33,000 miles should i change the trans fluid. I really dont think it needs it, but im not sure.

Mercedes has amended the service interval a few times since the manual was written. We do every 40,000 miles or 10 years now, whichever comes first. So yes, you are due.
