Default Intermittent RPM Surge-SRT6

I have a 2005 SRT6 Coupe with 30k on it. Everything works well with one exception and that is an infrequent or intermittent RPM surge while driving. I may be cruising along at 65 mph and there is a sudden surge (blip) of RPMs.(100-300 rpm increase I would guess). It is like a small or slight throttle blip and never lasts more than a second or two and then it is back to a steady RPM. It will occur while accelerating and at steady speeds. I recently took a 2 hour trip on Interstate highways and had it happen twice. It may also occur on a short in-town trips and is always the same - a small blip of RPM. While it is not affecting the car's performance, it is annoying. Anyone in the Forum have a similar situation or a solution? I have no CEL and no codes showing.

Default Re: Intermittent RPM Surge-SRT6

I have always read here that all SRTs do that. I have two, one I have had since it had 16k miles on it and it has always done it, it has 31 k on it now. The other SRT has never done it since I have owned it, got it with 54k on it and it now has 71k. I’m sure that helped a lot. 😊
