i wrote hotshot.com about the header they were suppose to come out with. in response i got, they can build anything and there has been much interest in the header for the crossfire but they do need a car for about a week. i would love to donate mine but i live kind of far away from them, if anyone is in there location get a hold of them and see what's up with a header. check their web site for there location. i do believe there in El monte, CA.

 

Headers, right? It's going to take two of 'em to get the job done.

the guys name was john that got back to me about the header's. i guess you would just dial the customer service number!

 

It would be great if a company would finally follow through with headers for the car.

 

i tried giving them my car about 5 times and they never called me back.

 

Not surprising... Try these guys... http://www.supersprintna.com/. They already have a header system for the SLK320 which fits perfectly. Their product # 843301.

 

There may be another option for headers. A smaller shop is supposed to be working on headers and will fully document the process of building, installing, and proving their worth.

 

I love that (supposed)... Feel free to wait for the supposed product. However, if you want AM headers for the Crossfire immediately, these guys have had a product for the SLK320 for a few years... I don't care either way... Just trying to be helpful to the members who want to mod the car like mine and get a solid 237 hp out of it without spending a fortune!!!

 

I checked it out and it only lists the clk320 model. Is there a difference in fitment? I know the EVO Motorsports headers are only for the c320 chassis and are said not to fit the slk. Also any word on price, I found the part # at GMP PERFORMANCE and they list for $3,300.00.

 

The SuperSprint header will not fit the SLK32/Crossfire chassis. There are clearance issues in the engine compartment.
