Paul and I have srt gears 307 with a wavetrak
Jim has limited gears (327) with a wavetrak
A few srt's have a phantom grip installed
as for most hp probably Jim and the guys with nitrous maybe... not that it matters because its not easy getting the car to stick to the ground
I'm sure there are still some hold outs, but these cars aren't known for having very stout rear ends.
Even some NA 6 spds. have blown up a few defferentials.
As soon as the V8 is running I will be saving for the Wavetrac. It won't be "powerful" compared to the 55K's or most SRT's but I want it as a precaution.
the car Lantana had has stock rear end

So whats your experience with yours since you have the Badd Azz supercharged motor?
When do you lose traction?
When I got my stock gears back from Wavtrac they looked really good, but my car only had 24k miles on it when I went to the Wavetrac LSD. These cars make enough power from the factory to warranty a real LSD as one of the first mods.
The best comparision I can make between the stock open read end and the Wavetrac is my burnouts at the track. I do a perfect, 2 wheels burnout now and the car stays put with no side to side movement when letting off the line-lock and rolling out of the burnout box.

I ran the stock differential to a best of 11.8 or 11.7 in the 1/4. Around that time I had a burnout where one wheel grabbed and I could hear it fail. I still ran it down the track after it failed. I don't think it's the power that kills them, it's shock. Currently I'm running the Wavetrac and it's not given me any problems (knock on wood), besides being a little noisy. I've run a best of 11.30 with the Wavetrac, and others have run 10.8's with one.
As for Jim (AMX) his is a totally different animal than the rest of us. His can run 11.0's without nitrous, and I have to turn up the bottle to get that low. On the street though, I think the SC's V8's probably spin badly from a dig. As a result, a modded SC V6 is probably going to be faster to 60. That's absolute conjecture on my part though. And for the record, I'd give my left (not right) ball for either of their rides.
If Jim or Beaner installed some MT ET Streets (or equivalent) for summer service, they'd likely smoke the modded SC'd v6 like it was a Prius.

As for how much a V8 digs here is what my 275 35 19 street tires look...
I have a set I just took off the roadster that look just like those. Right at the warning track.... The v-8's are a beast. Love to see them at a half/ or mile event. I could stay with most of the exotics through the quarter but that was it, as they went right on by after that...
