OK, I'll bite.

What adjuster on the dashboard?

If you try to adjust the headlamp beam height using the long white ***** under the hood, be careful, as a small change makes a big difference.

The Crossfires in the UK have this to adjust the headlights. I wish our XFires had it.

Well, I'll be damned!

If one pays attention, one has a chance of learning something every day!

Thanks.

You don’t have that? I think this is pretty standard now. I first came across them in an estate (station wagon) car. They are used to ensure that the beams points down safely when the back is loaded up with heavy stuff.

I see that the UK models also have an extra foglight function which I presume is for the rear fog lights. Cleaver stuff.

I don't see how, without transporting Neutronium, or Orson Wells, that this would be useful in these cars.

Slick feature though...

Not much, they move a bit but stop long before the limit of the adjuster

Does the adjuster motor at the back of the headlamp carry on going even after the headlamp has found its level? If so it could be the ball of the adjuster motor has come out of the socket inside the lamp. But usually this only happens to one at a time.

Just had car into local dealer to look at headlights under warranty - fitted a venting kit to get rid if the excessive misting - clear when i left but guess wot - misted by time i got home even with lights on - looks like they will be replacing them after all.

Also got level adjuster checked - replaced switch in dash - garage says its working normally but they dont know how much lights should move and if should move on each notch of the adjuster - can anyone help / try theirs to see?

I noticed this with mine, the vertical movement of the lamps is small and one click of the switch achieves this, howeber the switch has 3 positions. Its just another little naf bit of design. All other cars Ive used with this feature have had lights which have much more travel, just a difference in design technology.
