Warranty
So what happens to 3 year warranties if Chrysler goes ****-up?

And that's USA consumers. Does anyone have a clue with regards to EU? Could we be left without any warranty or perhaps have to file a claim with the US Bankruptcy Courts?
It doesn't look promising.

Andy,
interesting question, I suspect Chrysler here is a seperate legal entitiy and not sure how that affects things. My other car is a Zafira and I was thinking of swapping that for a new one , mainly for the warranty, but GM are also included in this story together with Chrysler. I wonder if major manufacturers like Vauxhall ( GM ) are affected that the UK government would feel obliged to support consumers like us. Hopefully it will never happen and we can just enjoy the driving

I’ll going to ask at my local Chrylser encampment for more info on this, and whether I’d qualify. The car is three in June.

I believe you will qualify, mine was second hand bought when it was 2 years old. The criteria are that it is contigous without any breaks, detail here :

Andy, I would assume the warranty basics would be the same in every market, with some tweaks here and there to local stuff, so I would think that if I could, and did buy a warranty extension for my used Cross, then you should be able to also.
However, if all Chrysler dealerships are closed, then i'd expect our warranties will be worthless, because the warranty says that only an authorized Chrysler repair facility will be honored by the warranty. In that case an after market waranty would be better. By how much I'm not sure, but at least you could have it repaired wherever you want it to be repaired for the most part. Mark
