started off well then went down hill !!!
Hi all,
I had the week off so thought i would do a few jobs on the srt 6 that i needed to do, i had bought bits and pieces over the last 8 months and never got round to doing them...so first off the illuminated door sills, fitted them look great.. but while removing the speaker cover behind one of the seats i managed to break it...grrr after reading one of the post about fitting the sills i was warned to be careful as the covers can be a bit stuborn,so rang the dealers for a price they then told me to give them the part number on the back of the cover had to remove one so did but the one on the opposite side...and guess what yes broke that ..dont believe i just did that. The dealer then told me there are different types of covers so i need the speaker code but looking at it i need to remove the speaker itself to find the no..so that will have to be done at the weekend.Moving on i had two srt 6 emblems that i wanted to replace the originals ones with this required removing the old ones from the chrome wings did the rear one.. looks good i then removed the front one and the srt 6 emblem is too small for the wing as this is bigger (i didnt realise the front chrysler emblem was slightly larger plus the fact i had been sent two of the same size) so now im left minus one at the front, on speaking to the dealers ...again!!! the price for replacing just the front emblem insert £69 + vat ...gutted> so its something to think about ...dont get me wrong i usually take my time and am quite methodical in my aproach but hey...we all have bad days ...dont we.
