Service Book

After 14 months of enquiries I still am without a warranty book that has space in the back for the service stamps. Although I am in no great hurry as I've only just hit 6000 miles looking on e-bay has pissed me off.

Anyone know of any stolen X-Fire that needs a fresh set of books to complete a sale?

If a dealer is selling this then my dealer is again bulls*itting me. Tuesday morning I'll be on the phone with this ebay item as reference to hopefully stop the bull*hit that they haven't got the correct books in yet.
Surely DCUK should be putting a stop to dealers selling off items that owners have the right to have but haven't.
Once again the ones that were at the front of the queue for this car are pushed to the back and beyond for any service satisfaction from DCUK.

Re: Service Book

I have just bought my Crossfire a week ago and the service book has no place to be stamped as you say.
The dealer has told me he will order one,put the stamp in it and post it to me.
You say you are in no rush as the car has only done 6000 miles but shouldn't you have had it serviced at 12 months old?

Re: Service Book

No the servicing is decided by the management system, either by mileage or timing.
The car will give me a days to go sign if mileage not high enough by about Christmas.
When you press the left button by the speedo twice you will get miles to go,but if yours miles are not high it will start a days to go countdown when it decides you need a service(around 2 years).
When the car is serviced the dealer can then mark next to the stamp + or - and amount of days as well as the mileage,if they do it correctly.
Its had an oil change at 2k anyway, which is about all they'll do for the service.

Re: Service Book

Has anybody got their service book yet; when i bought my xfire the rep said they hadn't produced one yet and it would be sent to me when available. i'm still waiting!

What happens if i want to sell my car privately? This is the only way of verifying whether the service has been done. Or do i cart the prospective buyer off to the dealer to verify the servicing. LOL!

There taking the P*** aren't they.
