Help!! Left headlight doesn't work.

Hey all, I have a 2005 Limited Coupe and my left headlight doesn't work!

I'm not sure exactly how to describe it but the main bulb (not brights) doesn't work.

I only have around 26,000 miles on it.

I checked the fuses and they all seem to be good - any other suggestions?

Remove the bulb and see if it's blown.

Replace the bulb.

Does it make sense that my bulb would be blown after 25,000 miles?

I suppose it's easier to backprobe the entire wire harness? It's just a matter of starting with the simple stuff.

I had a fog lamp bulb burn out on another car in something like 5,000 miles (not that light bulb light is normally measured in miles, but you understand). It was a very similar bulb to what's used in the Crossfire and so many other vehicles these days.

Commentary: Why do people expect 100% total and complete reliability out of everything today? I read an article on line today lamenting yet another battery failure problem similar to those exploding laptop batteries. Except in this case the batteries in question are only known to swell while being charged and pop out of the phone. Nothing explodes, nobody has been injured, no equipment has been ruined. The kicker? 100 of these specific model batteries have failed in this manner out of...wait for it...42 MILLION that have been manufactured!!! People complain about a failure rate of 0.00024% ???

I hate to tell you this, but mileage has absolutely no bearing on the longevity of a bulb. A bulb can burn out in 10 days or 10 years. Forget the mileage...it's immaterial.

Well I figured that with only moderate usage (at night, when I don't drive that frequently) and 25,000 miles it would last. :p

I'll go see what I & my dad can dig up.

Thanks everyone!

Bulb wasn't burned out, took it to the dealer and they took care of it!

I should've asked what was wrong with it but I didn't... I think they said something about the wiring. =P

I hate to tell you this, but my '05 has had nothing but problems with bulbs. 3 different ones in two years., Now this week another one not working, I have 45,000 on it so now I am just going to replace them all with another type and brand other than the OEM one's.
