usually that ring is only partial lit green. If you see the "ring of death" like half of world myself included and everyone i know....no more xbox send it in or return it. I think I had my first xbox for three days and then it happened it sucked...

heh I know this is an old thread, but I just thought I'd bump it back up to the front. Any progress on the lights? I heard it was hundreds of LED's that could be replaced, but I can't find where I read that...

after looking at the shop manual and checking it out for myself, it turns out that theres just a simple green film on the backside of the gauges! That should be the easiest of all the scenarios to fix to blue...

now the question is... where to get blue film?

Would the film (gels) for movie lighting work for this?
