anyone tried Hella Xenon 100W bulbs?
Has anyone tried these? Just curious if there's much difference between the 55 and 100 watt? It says 100W is off road use only...

Seems like a pretty good deal if they make a noticeable difference for only $40 bucks.

I have 100W bulbs in the driving lamps of my truck. They are a lot brighter than the standard 55W, IMO 100W are fine with the law as long as you use them in your highbeams and are respectful and dip them to oncoming traffic.
The ones in the link are H7 Lowbeams in the XF, that may get you in trouble
But IMO the $76 HIDs are the BEST way to go.

For $40 bucks and maybe the possibility of a fix it ticket I think I'll try them. They might help find these giant Michigan potholes at night!
Sounds good, let me know if you use them for the highbeams. I'm thinking of getting them, but I got to tell you, once you've tried HIDs in the lowbeams, there is no going back.
BTW, I have seen other filament bulbs advertised as xenon, what's with that? Is it because of the blue tint?

It's a different type of gas...halogen's have a small amount of xenon gas.
Xenon bulbs have all xenon gas...it's supposed to be brighter and help keep the bulb a little clearer.
