Re: angel eyes?

Re: angel eyes?
So thats what they call those. Ive only seen those once on a bmw late at night on a highway last summer. They looked like they were "floating" inside the headlight, really cool to look at.

Re: angel eyes?
I installed a kit on my BMW several years ago and they looked awesome. Bimmerforums.com had complete instructions on how to tap into the interior light fuse so that they turned on when you unlocked the car. Very cool. Unfortunately, I've heard that removal of the headlight assembly in the Crossfire is quite difficult. If anyone tried this, please be sure to post pics and a how to guide.

Re: angel eyes?
yes please do this because im looking to do it at the same time i do my hid install because i think it will look awesome.
oh and i almost forgot... cool truck! |
Re: angel eyes?
i removed my headlights for my paintjob and it is a pitta. especially getting them back in and not scratching anything. best to have an extra set of hands with you to pull down on the bumper cover.

Re: angel eyes?
yeah the lights are really hard to remove. but the angel eyes would look really sweet especially in conjunction with the first click(no head lights)
|
Re: angel eyes?
what size(s) should I get if I want to do this to my crossfire?
|
Re: angel eyes?
wcalvert and i had discussed at one point the possibility of doing an led mod to the headlights but more in the style of the new audi r8. place led's on the outer edge of the entire headlight housing rather than around each light assembly... similar to this...

Hey folks,
I was poking around the net and found these guys: http://www.automotivelightstore.com/...on=Custom&ID=1 I emailed them and received this response: From: AACstyle@aol.com [mailto:AACstyle@aol.com] Sent: Thursday, April 24, 2008 11:49 AM To: cichon@physics.auburn.edu Subject: Re: Inquiry from AACStyle.com We already have a kit for the crossfire (see attached). Any chance of your developing one? I'm kinda thinkin' of buying a pair of salvaged lights, getting one of their kits and givin' it a go. What do you think?:) |

Re: angel eyes?
I am going to purchase a used headlight to see if I can make something similar to the Audi. If it works, I'll post pictures and step-by-step instructions.
