I’ve been looking through the members’ galleries looking for custom paint jobs. A long term goal is to have something done to mine, but not immediately.

Anyway, just so I know what other people have done to their cars for inspiration, would it be possible to post some examples here?

That has got to be one of the ugliest things I have seen. There should have been a warning not to look!!

that's an old muscle car color of Chrysler/Dodge past, but a little brighter...those wheels are interesting...but man, wouldn't even needs lights in the garage...

My buddy owns a custom shop here in vegas and he showed me a pic of some guys custom Crossfire. It was completely repainted in chameleon and had a GIANT snake's head airbrushed on the entire hood. I wish I had a copy of the pic to show.

 

I’ve seen this one - I like it, apart from the bit where the black doesn’t follow the line of the car. If it did, I think it would be much better.

I’m a long, long way off making any kind of decision - I do think I’ll be going for something more subtle than the two shown here. Dunno yet. I like the colour of my car, but it may benefit from some enhancements. I think I’d have to be absolutely 100% sure about the final design before I commit.

 

I think that the empty malt liqour cans that fell out the door explains it all.

 

I saw a new Pontiac GTO a week or two ago that was about the same orange as tashspop used. The whole car was that color. It REALLY looked good. If I didnt like the Aero Blue so much that would be a high consideration for a re-paint. There are just too many choices....

My idea for a menu is to have two things on it.... that way you dont have to eat the same thing every day.

Not quite as flashy as some of the above pics, but I think it's classy

 

that's pretty interesting... definitely better than some.. I would absolutely paint the window trim to match the red, though.

 

+1 or at least the cream color to match the 50s era corvette-esq insert
