Would the ScratchX 2.0 work on the silver (limited xf) as well or what do you advise to use? Any info greatly appreciated.

I think I am seeing the same thing on my wife's 05 Roadster. At first it looked like some kind of paint contamination, but it is slowly getting worse and is beginning to look like pealing. I agree that they were not painted correctly from the factory. Car has always been garage kept, but it has lived its life in Georgia and Florida.

I know the thread is a few months old but I wanted to give an update on the windshield Trim.

My car is approaching the 36,000 mile mark and I wanted to take it in to get a few things looked at before the warranty is up. Turns out like others said it is 100% covered by warranty and they are replacing it as soon as the parts come in.

Also my passenger window would not seal when the passenger door was opened then closed and it would make a whistle and let air in until I opened and closed the window resealing it....turns out to be a $1300 part! Glad I got it checked before 36k!! Figured I would share in case anyone else has that issue.
