HID's and new grill

3 Attachment(s)
Well, these photos did not come out great, but I wanted to post a few pics of my new grill, and my HID install.

I now have:
HID Low Beams
HID Fog Lights
LED Corner Markers
Chromed Front turn signals (No more egg yolk look)
LED License Plate Lights

New Grill with LED Corner Markers
Attachment 45332

Corner Markers and Low Beams
Attachment 45333

Corner Markers, Low Beams and Fogs
Attachment 45334

The passenger side fog is still the original bulb because I hooked the error code eliminator up with reverse polarity, and the thing grenaded on me. It sounded like a gun shot, and it blew the internals out of the back side of it. Needless to say, it scared the crap out of me. Anyway, I called DDM Tuning up and told them what happened and they are sending me a new one out to replace it. Just another in my many life lessons. :D

Looking good Bob. That oem fog light really stands out surrounded by hids. I had to laugh when I thought of the look on your face when that thing went off. Grill looks great on your car.

Re: HID's and new grill

Thanks for the compliments. My wife had been helping me with the install. Since she is 4'5", her hands are much more adept to getting into the tight spaces than my hams are. I do not think I would have gotten the corner marker lights out without her. Anyway, I gave her instructions and watched as she did all of the lights with the exception of the very last one. The baby started crying, and she had to go in to take care of him. I decided to go ahead and do the last fog light while she was in the house. So, the one that I did without her happened to be the one that blew. Go figure. LOL She is still chiding me about it. I guess I am just lucky that she enjoys working on the car with me. :D Every time I mention doing something on the car, she says........ Can I help? I remember when I changed the CPS, she was a great help with her tiny hands once again.

Ohhhh, she saw me make the original post, and said that I had to give her credit for the work she did. LOL

Do the led corner lights cause a "Light out" fault on the dash? If not ....where did you get them?

No, they do not cause a light out indicator on the dash. They have a built in load resistor. I got them at iJDMToy. They were a bit expensive, but I like the fact that I did not have to worry about the error on the dash. Here is the link: https://store.ijdmtoy.com/ProductDet...Free_T10_SKU26

They are 5000k. I got them from DDMTuning. They have great prices. Here is the link: HID Kits, BMW Aftermarket Bumpers & Lighting, DEPO - DDM Tuning

I paid $20 per kit + $15 for the Error Code Eliminator, for 35per set. It looks like they have gone up $10 in price since I got mine, but still a great price.

Oh, and here are the chromed signal marker bulbs that I got. http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/Ch...l-Marker-Lamps

Thanks for all the links.
I wonder whether I had 5000k or 6000k.. Is there any touch of blue in yours at all?

Actually, I think the design of the headlights on the Crossfire keep them relatively low. I installed HIDs on my Honda Odyssey, and OMG..... They light up the world. I guess it is because of the huge reflectors that the Odyssey has in the headlight housing. When I installed the HIDs in the Crossfire, I was expecting similar results, but the Crossfire does not project anywhere near as far as the Odyssey does, nor as high.

There is no blue in them at all. 4300K or 5000K will both give a pure white. 6000K will have a blue tint to them. As you can tell from the pictures, the LED corner lights match up very well with the HIDs.

Haha, well....... after 6 years of marriage, I just got her to get her learners permit. I figure in another 6 years, she just might have a license. It baffles me that she has no desire to drive.
