Default Roadster Antenna base gasket ???

Anyone know where I can get the gasket between the antenna base and the fender ?
I see no part number listing for just the gasket.
Thanks

I asked the body shop to replace that gasket and was told that the whole antenna was the only option. Hard to believe, so I am seeking an alternative to the OEM high $. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks.

Mine just had a couple cracks so I used black RTV to seal it back together. Cant ever tell it cracked.
A new base runs $50 or so. Not bad but hard to believe you cant buy just the gasket.

I purchased an antenna gasket from X8R and it works great. You do not have to remove your antenna to replace the gasket. Another member used ths same gasket; however, he used silicone around the base before installing the gasket. You do not need the silicone to seal the gasket. The company that sells the product has a video on the replacement procedures and they do not use silicone or any other sealer. The important thing is to remove the old gasket and try to get as much gasket material from under the base as possible. Warm the seal before applying and you get a secure seal without using a gasket sealer.

I used the silicone because I wanted to prevent water potentially leaking into the trunk.

What about the rubber cover on the antenna. Is there a cheap substitute for that also?

The antenna is a bit shorter than OEM, but it screws right on and to me looks even better.

Looks like that is just the base. Not the whip. Do you have another eBay link so I don't get the wrong thing. Also if the antenna is shorter is my reception worse? I live in a fringe area and need all the help I can get.

EDIT I found a 16 inch mast and a separate gasket. Ordered 2 of each and total was less than $6. Hopefully these work but the investment was low.

You're welcome. I forgot to mention that this antenna is also the production length which is what I preferred.

I also I like it when I get a link to follow so I am confident that I am looking at the same thing as the poster.

All by herself. Pretty cool when a BLONDE LADY can do it herself!
