Auto self dimming mirror question??
I have a 2004 coupe that has the self dimming mirror, on the mirror part facing you is a small oval opening I can see that inside there are some copper contact points, however there is NO glass lens in the hole, I guess that maybe the sensor lens/glass/plastic has fallen out?? Does anyone know if there is a lens supposed to be there? thanks Dave in Tampa Fl. :cool:

sounds like the mirror was drilled for a hidden radar detector display. not on the oem mirror

Well, I am not going to get too concerned with it, as I just had the windows tinted and the rear hatch window done to keep it a little cooler here in the Florida sun, so when bright lights hit the sensor/lens it would not dim due to this probably anyway.
