Headlight replaced but still won't turn on

Guys,
Yesterday, my wife (this should be read as "the boss"), asked me why her driver side headlight isn't working. I took a look and figured I'd just replace the darn thing. After replacing it, the light still doesn't turn on.

I was curious and looked at the filament on the old light and it looks good. Took out the replacement and looked at the filament there and looks like new (as it should be). Puzzled, I came here and did a quick search and found this: Headlight replace but light won't work

So I checked my fuses and they all look good. I even looked at the passenger side fuse and saw it was good. I put in a new fuse just in case and still no go. I switched the new fuse and passenger side fuse (why? I don't know.... just another thing to hope for a miracle) and same result.

So I'm going to ask the collective intelligence of this fine community to help me make my wife happy. And I mean by making that driver side light turn on... keep it clean gentlemen.

Put in a spare fuse, there are some on the car or check the fuse with a tester of some kind, a battery and a bulb and a piece of wire works. Sometimes these fuses are blown but do not look like it.

He said he already did that, 180.
Question : does the other light in this unit work ( you didn't say whether the low or high beam was out ) ?
Does the turn signal work ?
If not, then I'd suspect maybe the connector to the headlight has an issue, or it could be the ILCM ( the headlight switch unit ).

So he did, I'd check back from the bulb then looking for power.

Yep, see below schematic :

Sorry for not getting back with you sooner. Every light on the driver side does work (high, turn, etc.) except that low beam light. I was thinking I had it solved with the fuse, but my moment of victory never came and I reentered the house a broken shell of a man. The passenger side lights all work.... I'm going to have to study this schematic for a few minutes because I'm less than a man and I tend to rely on photos than diagrams. I'll let you know what I find out when I get back home from work. I appreciate the help.

Well, the light is back on. I used a multimeter and found that electricity was not flowing to the light. I also found a dead mouse that decided to chew on the cable a bit too much and I guess got zapped. Not sure how that happened..... poor fella... Sure I was cursing him while running a new wire, but still little guy didn't need such an electrifying demise... The wife is happy, the light is on, and the mouse has a new home some where in a landfill.

Thanks for reporting your success.
I was afraid it might be the wire inside the headlight unit from the connector to the bulb, in which case you'd be SOL.
( not really, you could jump a wire to the light from the harness through the rubber cover )
I'll say a "ave" for Mickey.
