Yeah, 10K is waaaaay to blue IMO. I'm going with the McCulloch kit that someone posted in here. The phone number is (714) 736-0606 This kit is for our H7's, is 6K and costs $290 shipped. Its good to know that the price of HIDs aren't that out of hand like they used to be!

For those of you who buy ebay kits, do you have to modify the clips that hold the bulb in place?
Last time I was about to install the kit and had this problem.

The clips worked fine on my install. I have the McCulloch 8000K H7 kit.

What company is that phone number from and do they have a website? Also, are the 8K kits the same price? $290 shipped sounds like a deal to me...

the "plug and play" kit is diy & easy to install. it plugs into the factory harness...and comes with xenon bulbs, ballast, relay etc...

ebay link ($300)...

Re: Place to buy HID Conversion kits

I installed two kits, one on headlights and another on the fogs. Haven't heard of anybody else doing that, just low lights. I had many problems with the kits not working. So, I think it is because I installed two kits (not sure what could be wrong doing that). So, I got rid of the fogs and I am getting my low lights kit replaced by the supplier as none of them work. AGAIN - hope that will fix the problem and at least my low lights will always work now.

I could see how this could become a problem. Maybe you could try a Optima Yellow Top before you toss the fogs. You can pick one up for under $200 and they are the BEST battery on the market. Its the only one my dad will buy for his race boats...

Re: Place to buy HID Conversion kits

Thanks for your help italian mafia. I'm not sure if its the battery or not, the weird thing is that the kits do work but after some time they stop working (like something makes them malfunction and they won't work on any car anymore so, they need to be replaced), I took my car to get checked to the dealer (of course with both kits uninstalled) and they said everything was perfect.
I'd have to be sure its the battery in order to replace it for a "better" one. And I'm not sure I could find that kind of battery here in Mexico City. So, I am planning to get both kits replaced, install just the low lights and sell the ones I had for the fogs as it works as low lights for many other models.

Cheers.
