Strakes removal with good results?
Strakes removal with good results?
From actual experience, can anyone explain the best way to remove the fender strakes with minimal damage. I have access to a spare pair and want to get them off of the donor car without damage to the car or strakes.
It appears the clips will almost certainly break?
Thanks, James

Re: Strakes removal with good results?
The strakes are removable by fishing line or plastic scraper to lift the double sided tape, then using a plastic trim removal tool, lift the front of the strake up. There are 3 pins that go in three holes. Then you can twist the strake up or down a little and work the back 3 pins out. These have a barbed fastener but can be worked out as the hole they are in is elongated. Just take your time.

Dave, I am very disappointed that you, the SEARCH preacher, could not find it on your own

I am at the moment having trouble seeing YouTube videos, in fact I cannot see them at all. I cannot find out either for some reason.
So I still have not seen the strake removal video even with a link.
I have sent you a PM about the 1/10 scale Crossfire value.
