Default Strakes removal with good results?

From actual experience, can anyone explain the best way to remove the fender strakes with minimal damage. I have access to a spare pair and want to get them off of the donor car without damage to the car or strakes.

It appears the clips will almost certainly break?

Thanks, James

From what I remember it is safer to have access to the inner fender together at them.
There is a thread on it somewhere.

The strakes are removable by fishing line or plastic scraper to lift the double sided tape, then using a plastic trim removal tool, lift the front of the strake up. There are 3 pins that go in three holes. Then you can twist the strake up or down a little and work the back 3 pins out. These have a barbed fastener but can be worked out as the hole they are in is elongated. Just take your time.

James, Michael Harding has a video on Youtube (I think) thats shows how to remove them without removing the inner fender shield. Its a really good video and I think its what you're looking for.

Dave, I am very disappointed that you, the SEARCH preacher, could not find it on your own

I hardly ever say that people should search for something, most times I tell them where to go directly with a link. I gave you a link to a list I got using search on strake removal as there were many slightly different variations on the theme.
I am at the moment having trouble seeing YouTube videos, in fact I cannot see them at all. I cannot find out either for some reason.
So I still have not seen the strake removal video even with a link.
I have sent you a PM about the 1/10 scale Crossfire value.

I can tell you that the video is a perfect reference. I tried it today and it worked perfect. Thanks to Pat for the info. And thanks to Michael Harding for making the video!
