Added LED daytime running lights
This isn't a new subject, been done before, but thought I would share anyway. Took me an hour , maybe. Total cost, $7.00. Purchased the flexible strip led lights with adhesive on one side. These can be cut every 3 led's , so you can trim to the length you want. Put the led strips on starting at the upper outside corner of each headlight. Ran the power wires right under the rubber. Used a credit card and a flat head screwdriver to place the led strip between the rubber around the headlight and the headlight housing itself. The adhesive side went toward the headlight housing. If you look closely at the led strips you will see that the led lights face one edge of the strip. Make sure you have that edge toward the front of the car. I used a fender bolt on each side to ground the lights. Ran the power side to fuse 31, cigarette lighter, in the fuse box. I've attached some pics, think they're pretty self explanatory. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cro...fdcb7818a0.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cro...9012a8cf77.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cro...3cef4824f7.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cro...5efc35886b.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cro...0b957b756e.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cro...de62bb7d66.jpg

Re: Added LED daytime running lights
The lights look good but the wiring needs tidying up to make the job really neat.
Are the lights independently operated by a switch? |
Re: Added LED daytime running lights
The lights are on whenever the car is running, no switch. Yes the wiring could be a little tidier.
