Default Actual Photos w/ Fender Vent/Strakes Removed?

Hey guys. After 8 years as my daily driver, my 04 Coupe’s paint is looking a little worn out (scratches, chips, general surface wear).

im considering my options and wondering : has anyone removed the plastic stick-on vents/strikes on the front fenders, and if so could you post your results?

I found a years-old thread with a photoshop of what the car SHOULD look like with them removed, but before I take the plunge I’m curious to see/hear anyone’s actual experiences.

The strakes do look cool but I always felt that the non-functional vents were kind of cheesy, and if I’m getting it painted then now’s the time...

That was exactly what I needed. Thanks!

i was hoping I could just remove them and not have to fill in any voids/holes with bondo but I guess that would be too simple. *shrug*
