Default Interested in Custom Clear Tail lights ? Look no further

Hi everybody, I designed and executed my first set of custom clear tail lights with custom lighting a few months ago and thought I would share.
I have begun work on my next set which means a set will be up for sale in the near future. I will continue to pump these out as fast as I can between full time work, CDL school, and personal time.
I made a Facebook group to keep everybody up to date on the progress and when sets will go on sale. I do not get on here often but wanted to share this with the OG Crossfire group. So join the FB group if you are interested!

That's amazing. Looks very professional. I would like some more details. Is this printed? Are you supporting LEDs bulbs? How did you go about making these?

Thank you ! No the stock lense was removed and the clear lense hand molded to fit. The LED’s do cause a light out indicator and the turn signals need a resistor to not flash fast. Here is the breakdown. One tail light:

1 hour cut lense

1 hour sanding/trimming

2 hours wiring

1 1/2 hours painting

1 hour inner weather stripping

2 1/2 hours lighting/wiring

1 hour cutting lense/testing lighting

3 1/2 hours molding lense

1/2 hour sealing

1 hour outer weather stripping

Multiply by two to include opposite side

WOW! 14 hours of work per taillight. It looks like you are scavenging an existing taillight with a clear lens and cutting it to shape. Thank you for providing your process!

Yes precisely! Unfortunately Tail lights are limited, we will eventually run out. I hate to keep cutting them up. If we could find another housing that can fit or 3d print a housing we would be in business !

I think 3D printing is the way to go. Considering there is a limited number of headlight and taillights, it's time to create our own cottage industry. My passenger side headlight needs to be replaced because of the internal crazing of the outer glass (yes it's plastic, but i don't know what to call it).

Here is video of somebody making headlights for a old datsun

I think that these are quite possibly illegal.

“Are Clear Tail lights legal ?”
“Yes. The Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards clearly state that measuring the performance and color of a lamp assembly is done with the light source energized”

It’s the color of the bulbs, not the housing. These run DUAL red running lights, DUAL red brake lights, and Amber turn signals. They comply with Federal laws, but local & state police may not be the biggest fans. These will be sold as “Show & Off-road use only” as local laws vary so much. I have had state troopers behind me with no issues.

Many cars come from the factory with Clear Lenses and colored housings.
